Aquesta és una recepta senzilla per un tipus de peix que podem trobar fàcilment al supermercat, normalment congelat però també es pot comprar fresc.

És un peix sense espines de carn ferma i bastant insípida de sabor. Al meu entendre és una bona alternativa a peixos més comuns com ara el rap, que pot arribar a ser car, o el lluç, que personalment trobo d’un sabor molt poc agradable. (La meva teoria és que els nens petits odien el peix per culpa del lluç arrebossat xD)

Tornant a la recepta, el peix es deixa descongelar i llavors s’enfarina i es fregeix. De l’oli restant que ens queda a la paella on hem fregit el peix, hi tirem un vas de suc de taronja al qual li hem afegit el suc d’una llimona. Reduïm el líquid a foc baix fins que tenim una salsa com la de la fotografia.

Té un sabor àcid però no desagradable ja que és també dolça. Acompanya molt bé a aquest peix i el fa molt gustós.

Cal dir que la recepta la vaig veure per internet i ja és el segon cop que la faig. Certament és molt fàcil de fer i molt efectiva i facilita l’acceptació per part dels més reticents al peix.

Quant al peix, a jutjar pel que diu l’envàs aquest peix s’anomena Pangasius hypophthalmus i segons totes les descripcions és un peix de riu. Però a l’envàs també diu que l’han pescat a l’Atlàntic Nord. Pel que he vist sembla que prové dels rius de Vietnam i que van ser els holandesos qui el van començar a importar a Europa. És un peix de viver.
